Welcome to PQ Show Floor, the planning site for the aggregates industry at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2008. The show takes place March 11-15, 2008 in Las Vegas. ConExpo-Con/Agg is the largest trade show of any kind in the Western Hemisphere, and if you've attended in the past, you know that planning ahead can save you valuable time and energy. With 2.2 million sq. ft. of exhibit space and more than 2,000 exhibitors, it's important to know who you want to visit and where they're located before you even get there. PQ Show Floor allows you to see what the top aggregates equipment manufacturers plan to exhibit, and provides booth location information.

- It is estimated that 17 billion pounds of equipment and exhibit materials will be on the show floor of the 2008 ConExpo-Con/Agg. Trade shows don't get much bigger than that.

- ConExpo-Con/Agg 2008 exhibits will cover more than 2.29 million net sq. ft., taken by nearly 2,000 exhibitors. Total show registration is tracking strong and is 48 percent ahead of 2005 numbers for the same time period. Trend lines indicate the show has a great opportunity to exceed the 2005 attendance total of 125,000.

- Show visitors will find the leading U.S. and global manufacturers and service providers, who will be ready to discuss product features and applications to help attendees increase their productivity and their companies' profitability.

- ConExpo-Con/Agg 2008, as in past shows, will have exhibitors grouped into product-concentration areas, including aggregates, asphalt and compaction, concrete, earthmoving machinery and attachments, engines and components, information technology, trucks, utilities, lifting (aerial and cranes), associations/industry events, drilling, safety and traffic, and trenching and shoring.

- ConExpo-Con/Agg 2008 will also feature displays of antique equipment throughout the show, illustrating the industry's rich heritage and the show's history from 1909 to the present.

New show floor additions

- New show-floor additions will focus on industry safety training and the need for a qualified industry workforce.

- A special Safety Zone exhibit area will feature live demonstrations and information resources focused on jobsite safety, from groups including the Mine Safety and Health Administration, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health and the International Powered Access Federation.

- The Association of Equipment Manufacturers will hold the finals of its first-ever teen-oriented Construction Challenge at the show, with the goal of spurring interest in construction industry careers and spotlighting industry contributions to quality of life such as good roads and clean water.

Education highlights

- The ConExpo-Con/Agg education program will offer more than 120 sessions delivered by industry experts with a focus on industry trends, case studies and "how to" application techniques and strategies. The sessions are divided into 10 program tracks to help attendees locate topics of most interest to them: aggregates, asphalt, concrete, construction project management, earthmoving, environmental/recycling, equipment management, management, personal development and safety.

- In addition to ConExpo-Con/Agg, the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association convention runs concurrent with the show. The convention is March 10-13, right next door at the Las Vegas Hilton.
